Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Bling Binder mobile app for iOS and Android (the “App”), published by WVE Labs (“we”, “us”), handles your information. The App is built so that your collection stays on your device: there are no user accounts, and we never receive your records, photos or documents.
1. Information stored on your device
Everything you add to the App is stored only in the App’s private storage on your device:
- Your vaults and asset records, such as titles, metal, karat, category, weight, purchase details and notes.
- Photos and documents you attach, such as item photos, bills and certificates.
- App settings, such as your selected city and whether vault security is turned on.
Your records are kept in a database encrypted with AES-256. Its encryption key is generated on your device and held in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. Attached photos and documents are kept in the App’s private storage, protected by your device’s own security. When you add a photo, the App compresses it and removes embedded metadata such as location (EXIF) data. We have no access to any of this information.
2. Information our servers receive
To show live metal prices, the App requests the list of metals, karats, categories and cities, and the current prices for the city you select, from our server. It also keeps a connection open so prices update automatically.
These requests include your selected city and the technical details every internet request carries, such as your IP address, device and operating system type, and the time of the request. They never include your records, photos, documents, name, email address or contacts. We use this information only to deliver prices and to operate and secure the service, and keep server logs only as long as needed for that.
3. What we don’t do
- We don’t ask you to create an account or sign in.
- We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking tools in the App.
- We don’t access your location.
- We don’t sell, rent or share your information with anyone.
4. Device permissions
- Camera: to take photos of your items or documents, only when you choose to.
- Photos and files: to pick photos or PDF documents. The App can only see the items you select.
- Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint or device passcode: to lock your vaults. Authentication is handled by your device’s operating system; the App only learns whether it succeeded and never receives your biometric data.
- Internet: to fetch configuration and live prices.
5. Backups and changing phones
Because your data never leaves your device, we cannot back it up or restore it for you. The App opts out of automatic Android app-data backup. Depending on your device settings, your operating system’s own device backups may include App files; those backups are governed by your platform provider. Where the App offers an export feature, you are responsible for keeping exported files safe.
6. Deleting your data
Uninstalling the App or clearing its data permanently deletes everything stored in it. We hold no copy, so deleted data cannot be recovered by us.
7. Security
We use encryption on the device and secure connections for price requests. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please also keep your device protected with a screen lock and up to date.
8. Children
The App is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, or to raise a grievance. Since your collection data stays on your device, you control it directly in the App. For questions about request data our servers receive, contact us using the details below.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
